It was a real privilege for Chris Jewell, as CEO of Street Pastors in Scotland to commission 7 new Street Pastors as Dumfries and Galloway Street Pastors was officially launched in the River of Life at St Mary’s church in Dumfries on Friday evening. Those present supporting the occasion were Fiona Armstrong, Lady MacGregor, the Lord Lieutenant of Dumfries, Rev Rosie Frew, Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland, Chief Inspector Duncan Cameron, a representative of the local Council and many from our existing Borders Street Pastor initiative.
Chris said “I am so happy to see this group established, and with their fist patrol coming on 19th December they will make a real ongoing difference to the Dumfries community.”
